더불어민주당 조승래 수석대변인이 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령의 제47대 대통령 취임을 축하하는 서면 브리핑을 발표했다.
승 대변인은 “도널드 트럼프 대통령의 취임을 진심으로 축하한다”고 전하며, “트럼프 대통령은 제45대 미국 대통령 재임 당시 탁월한 리더십으로 미국의 번영을 위해 노력했으며, 한반도 비핵화와 평화를 위한 많은 역할을 했다”고 강조했다.
이어 “트럼프 대통령의 두 번째 취임이 미국과 세계를 더 큰 평화와 번영의 길로 이끌기를 소망한다”고 밝혔다.
또한 “한미 양국이 앞으로도 굳건한 동맹을 바탕으로 우호와 협력을 이어가며 혈맹 이상의 관계로 발전해 나가기를 바란다”고 덧붙였다.
더불어민주당은 “앞으로도 미국과 함께 양국의 공동 번영과 한반도 평화를 위해 노력해 나갈 것”이라고 다짐했다.
승 대변인은 “트럼프 대통령의 취임을 다시 한 번 축하하며, 트럼프 대통령과 한미 양국의 앞날에 행운이 가득하기를 기원한다”고 말했다.
